How GPA is calculated
Enter each course on its own line as a grade and the number of credits, for example "A 3". The calculator turns each grade into grade points using the scale you pick, multiplies by the credits, and divides the total by the credits to give a weighted GPA.
You can type letter grades like A, B+ or C-, or enter grade points directly such as 4.0. Courses with more credits count more toward the average, which is why it is called weighted.
