D-day, anniversaries and day counts

Use D-day mode when you have one target date, such as a trip, deadline, birthday or exam. The result shows D-10 before the date, D-Day on the date, and D+10 after it has passed.

Anniversary mode answers "today is the Nth day" and also shows upcoming 100-day, 1-year, 500-day, 1000-day and larger milestones. Date difference mode is better when you need the exact gap between two specific dates.

For military discharge estimates, enter the enlistment date and service length. The default 18-month setting is only a convenience preset; official service length can vary by country, branch, policy and personal situation.

Can I calculate "today is day N"?

Yes. Choose anniversary / day count mode, enter the start date, and leave the as-of date as today.

Can I use this for CSAT or any exam?

Yes. Choose exam D-day mode and enter the official exam date yourself. The page does not hard-code yearly exam schedules, so it stays useful for any test.

Are my dates stored or uploaded?

No. CalcBloom runs the calculation in your browser only. The dates you enter are not uploaded to a server.

Is the discharge date legally official?

No. Treat it as a planning estimate and confirm the official date with the relevant authority or your personal military record.

Is the start date counted as day 1?

In anniversary / day-count mode the start date is day 1, so the next day is day 2. Date-difference mode instead shows the number of days between two dates.

Does it handle leap years correctly?

Yes. Every calculation uses the real calendar, so leap days (Feb 29) are counted automatically and anniversaries fall on the correct date.
